Why not switch to a high-quality adjustable extruded solid brass hinge? Sure, in the short run, those steel hinges may look like a good buy, but over time, they could end up costing you more money for replacement pieces, and they result in far too many complaints from dealers and customers.
Made by European craftsmen who are masters of precision manufacturing, our high-quality hinges have been made with the cooperation of the biggest and best cabinetmakers in the industry. They have given us their input at every step of the development of these hinges to give you a premium product that is easy to work with. Our hinges are hand-finished to give them that polished perfection on which your customers have learned to depend. For comparable prices to our competitors’ steel hinges, you can get the lasting quality and durability of solid brass. Your days of frustration working with low-quality hinges are over!
Cliffside has been designing and distributing high-quality extruded brass hinges for over 20 years, and we supply many of the industry’s top cabinet manufacturers. To make you a believer, we are offering to send you one sample BH2A or BH2A-NM hinge in your choice of finish. The only cost to you for this sample is the $4.00 freight charge.
How are Cliffside’s hinges made?
Cliffside’s hinges are precision extruded from one single piece of brass; this means that they have a solid, one-piece construction that meets your exacting quality standards. Many other hinge manufacturers use stamping rather than extrusion to craft their hinges, meaning that they are punched from sheets of steel or brass instead. There is no comparison in quality between the two, and we believe our hinges to be among the best in the industry.
Are Cliffside’s hinges adjustable?
All of our hinges have between two and four adjustable holes to ensure that this is the easiest hinge you ever use. Every hole in a Cliffside hinge is countersunk to protect your cabinet, your screws, and your investment in our fine product.
What kind of hinges do you sell?
Cliffside offers two kinds of hinges.
1. Inset hinges – These hinges are styled so that the door is flush against the frame. None of the hinge leaf is visible; all that you can see is the barrel. There are two types of inset hinges: beaded inset (mortised hinges) – BH2A and BH3NA; and flush inset (non-mortised hinges) – BH2A-NM and AHI.
2. Offset hinges – These hinges are for doors with a lipped edge. Part of the door is recessed into the cabinet frame, and part is exposed, covering the edge of the frame. Cliffside offers a standard ⅜” offset hinge (3-8-OFFSET) and an offset armoire hinge (AHO; also a ⅜” offset).
What about screws?
Every hinge we sell ships with brass screws plated to match the color of your particular finish choice.
What else do I need to know about Cliffside’s hinges?
All of Cliffside’s hinges are sold individually, not in pairs. Therefore, if you are ordering our hinges, be sure to verify your quantity.
If you are ordering our armoire hinges, you should specify “right” for a right-facing hinge, or “left” for a left-facing hinge. This describes the side of the hinge that shows the finish best. If you need a number of “pairs,” order an equal number of each. The remainder of our hinges can be used for either right- or left-facing doors.
The majority of our hinges are available with Cliffside’s signature finial, designed by our company and unique in the kitchen and bath industry. We have selected styles and finishes available without a finial; check our website for availability on these products. We will also be introducing a ball finial in our most popular BH2A and BH2A-NM hinges, which will be available in early 2009; contact us for more details!
